What you’ll learn

Translate every technical feature into the only three things owners buy: more booked jobs, hours given back, nothing falling through the cracks.

After this lesson you can: rewrite any “AI feature” sentence into a business-outcome sentence, run a 10-minute discovery conversation using the 5 questions, and answer “so… is it a robot?” without losing the deal.

Step-by-step

1. The translation table
“AI chatbot” → “nobody waits on hold for a price question”. “Workflow automation” → “the follow-up happens even when you’re on a roof”. “CRM integration” → “every lead in one list, nothing on sticky notes”. “24/7 agent” → “the shop answers while it’s closed”.

2. The dinner-table test
Could the owner repeat your sentence at dinner, word for word, without a glossary? If not, rewrite it.

3. The 5 discovery questions
(1) What happens when a lead comes in after hours? (2) Who follows up, and when? (3) Where do leads get written down? (4) What does a booked job average? (5) What slips through most often? Q4 gives you the numbers for the Lesson 1.2 pricing formula.

4. Objection: “Is it a robot?”
Answer with the anatomy: an instant first response in their name + a human handoff. Show the actual reply text — it reads like their best employee wrote it.

5. Objection: “We already have someone”
You’re not replacing them — you cover the hours and the gaps: evenings, weekends, sick days, simultaneous calls.

6. Objection: “What if it breaks?”
The safety net: failures alert a human immediately, by design. That’s designed in, not luck.

7. The one-sentence offer
“For [niche] in [town], I install a system that answers every web lead in under a minute and follows up until they book — you only talk to people who are ready.”
